Analysis of Regional Market Characteristics of China’s Mould Industry

In recent years, my country’s mold industry has developed rapidly. According to incomplete statistics, in 2004, there were more than 30,000 mold production plants in my country, with 800,000 employees. Among them, there were more than 20 mold companies with an output value of more than 100 million yuan and an output value of 50 million yuan. There are dozens of medium-sized enterprises with a value of 100 million yuan, and enterprises with an output value of about 20 million yuan account for a large proportion. With the support and encouragement of various local governments, my country has formed a number of mold industrial parks, which have played an active role in improving the industrial chain, attracting foreign capital and strengthening social investment. The regional distribution characteristics of the mold industry are gradually taking shape. From the perspective of regional distribution, the southeast coastal areas centered on the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta have developed the fastest.

Guangdong-the leading domestic mold market

Guangdong is China’s most important mold market today, and it is also China’s largest mold export and import province. More than 40% of the national mold output value comes from Guangdong, and the mold processing equipment numerical control rate and equipment performance, mold processing technology, production specialization level and standard level are ahead of other domestic provinces and cities.

Currently, Guangdong has 5 of the top 10 enterprises in the country. The world’s largest mold base supplier and Asia’s largest mold manufacturer are all located in Guangdong.

With the further optimization of the industrial structure of Guangdong, the development of petrochemical, automotive, high-tech and other industries has put forward higher requirements for Guangdong’s mold manufacturing. In the next few years, Guangdong’s mold manufacturing will become more sophisticated and complex.

Shanghai-Information industry and automobile industry mold as the leading

There are more than 1,500 mold companies in Shanghai, with more than 70,000 employees, and an annual output value of nearly 10 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of more than 20%. It is estimated that by 2010, the total output value will reach about 20 billion yuan, and the import value will be reduced by 30% from the current 290 million yuan, which will increase the output value of the industry by about 700 million yuan, and the export value will reach 130 million US dollars, which will add 600 million yuan to the industry. Yuan output value.

Shanghai’s mold industry will face six major industries and key industries, especially the information (IT) industry and the automotive industry. It will vigorously develop precision magnesium alloy die-casting molds and precision injection molds for the IT industry; automotive cover molds, large-scale parts die-casting molds, Multi-station progressive die for precision stamping parts. In 2010, 85% of the molds in the IT industry will be localized, and 90% of automotive molds will be localized.

According to preliminary statistics, there are nearly 70 mold companies in Shanghai producing automobile stamping, plastics, and die-casting, with an annual output value of about 2 billion yuan. Private enterprises such as Huazhuang, Qianyuan, Yifeng, and Huangyan, and joint ventures such as Ogihara, Visteon, and Koito , Taiwan-funded enterprises such as Lianheng, Hongxu, and Tai Litong have a multi-year output value of more than 50 million yuan, of which nearly 7 companies have reached an annual output value of 100 million yuan, and some companies have an annual growth rate of 100%, becoming SAIC Motor The main force in the mold industry.

Zhejiang-the proportion of plastic molds is large

Zhejiang Province’s mold industry is mainly concentrated in Ningbo and Taizhou. Ninghai, Yuyao, Cixi and Yinzhou in Ningbo City mainly produce plastic molds, Beilun mainly produces die-casting molds, and Xiangshan and Zhoushan mainly produce casting and stamping molds. The main mold manufacturing enterprises in Taizhou are concentrated in Huangyan and Luqiao, with plastic molds accounting for the majority.

Zhejiang mold industry has some obvious characteristics. First, almost all mold manufacturers are private enterprises; second, mold companies are relatively concentrated and have formed a mold market; third, while molds can meet the needs of users at different levels, high-level molds are developing rapidly, and they have occupied a large proportion; Fourth, through many entrepreneurial ventures, a number of high-quality key enterprises have emerged; fifth, specialized division of labor has naturally formed, with obvious main corporate characteristics; sixth, the development of the mold industry has an obvious pulling effect on the industrial development of the local and surrounding areas .

Jiangsu——Foreign investment and private enterprises as the main force

There are more than 1,000 mold factories of various types in Suzhou, Jiangsu, and more than 1,000 mold processing points. The annual sales of molds are about 5 billion to 6 billion yuan. The mold industry has become one of the city’s emerging industries.

Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Taiwan and Hong Kong have many sole proprietorships and joint ventures, as well as many private mold companies; Suzhou Lampei Casting, Yuanqing Molding and other companies mainly produce die-casting parts such as automobile engines and wheels. Molds and casting molds, Kunshan medium and large mold bases, Kunshan precision mold standard parts, Kunshan Huaxing mold guides and other companies specialize in the production of various large mold bases, mold guides, mold springs and other standard parts.

Anhui-a new force on the rise

At present, Anhui Province has a number of well-known domestic mold products, such as large-cavity injection molds for washing machines and air conditioners, blister foaming molds for refrigerators, high-speed progressive die for motor stator and rotor laminations, etc. Some of them have a market share of up to 30 % Or more; automobile structural parts and interior parts molds have been steadily used in the development of new models of Shanghai Volkswagen; rubber tire molds are recognized by major domestic tire companies; mold standard parts and mold material bases have also been formed.

A group of energetic private mold companies are emerging, and a gathering area for mold manufacturing is taking shape. Chuzhou City has become an important manufacturing base for blister foaming molds for refrigerators; Ningguo City is a gathering area for rubber molds; Xuanzhou City and Wuhu City are mainly based on sheet metal stamping molds, which are important manufacturing and supply bases for auto parts; Bengbu City The thick plate stamping progressive die is unique; Hefei has certain advantages in injection molds, automobile molds and rapid mold making.
