Recommend a 2A synchronous DC-DC step-down converter to provide EMI performance leading similar products, covering a variety of input and output voltages. This type of device is very suitable for a variety of product applications, including household appliances, industrial electronic devices, telecommunications equipment, power tools, office equipment, and consumer products such as televisions and set-top boxes.
Switching DC-DC converters generally generate a lot of EMI in the design. The chip uses frequency spread spectrum (FSS) technology with ±6% switching frequency jitter, coupled with proprietary gate driver technology, to achieve the best EMI performance in the industry. This design supports single-layer PCB and does not require vias, which can further reduce EMI. The proprietary gate driver design further enhances the product and helps reduce switching node ringing without sacrificing MOSFET turn-on and turn-off time.
The fully integrated device uses high-side and low-side MOSFETs, has a very low on-resistance RDS(ON), and is equipped with a proprietary gate driver technology and compensation network. The chip adopts pulse frequency modulation (PFM) technology, which can provide excellent efficiency as high as 88% under light load (5mA output current), and the lowest quiescent current can reach 22?A.
A wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 32V can support a variable output voltage from 0.8V to VIN, or a fixed output voltage of 3.3V or 5V. All devices can provide a maximum continuous output current of 2A. 100% duty cycle can be used as an LDO regulator, providing a stable output voltage within 1% of the unregulated input voltage. All devices are designed to withstand input voltage surges of up to 40V for 400ms.
